Poshmark is an easy to use website and app where you can buy and sell stylish gently used clothes for cheap. If you are interested in buying or selling on Poshmark, it’s super easy to get started.

You can download the app by accessing it from their website here, or simply find “Poshmark” in the app store.

There are basically two things you can do on Poshmark– buy things or sell things. You can save tons of money by buying high fashion styles on Poshmark. You can also make good money by selling your trendy things on Poshmark. Here’s how. 

HOW TO SAVE MONEY WITH POSHMARK

You can save tons of money buying your clothes and other items on Poshmark. Poshmark has women’s, men’s, and kid clothes. You can find tons of name brand clothing items for a fraction of the price on Poshmark rather than traditional shopping. In addition, you can find name brand home goods, luxury items, gifts, and seasonal items. 

Simply open up the app and toggle to the top left menu to select which category of items you are interested in purchasing.  You can also search for brands or people you love in the search bar at the top of the app to find whatever you are looking for. 

In addition, you can follow friends or other people whose style you like and make purchases from them. They’ll show up directly in your feed on the app. 

Another great way to save money on Poshmark is to bundle items. Many sellers will give you a deep discount (think like 30%) when you buy multiple items from their store. 

One thing to consider is the cost of shipping when you are making your purchases. Shipping costs an additional $6.79 on top of your purchase price but the good news is you can buy multiple items from one seller for the same fee, as long as the total weight of all the items does not exceed 5 pounds. So, don’t forget to factor in the cost of shipping when you are trying to figure out whether what you are buying is a good deal. 

One way to help defray the costs of shipping is to go in with a friend! If you both buy something from the same seller, you can just split the shipping cost!

In addition to saving money by buying clothes on Poshmark instead of in expensive stores, you can actually make money on Poshmark! 

HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH POSHMARK

Making money on Poshmark is easy. Listing your items is free. 

Simply go into the app and tap the “sell” button.

Upload your photos of the item. You can upload up to 8 photos of the same item. I highly recommend uploading multiple photos of the same item from different angles. Be sure to show any problems with your item. This builds credibility and will help you sell things fast on Poshmark.

Write your listing’s title, description, and price. When you are writing your description, be sure to think about what kinds of phrases buyers will use when searching for the item you are listing and include those in your description. This will make your item more likely to be found by buyers on Poshmark.

When you are finished, tap “Next” and you can choose to share it with your friends and then tap “List,” That’s it! There are tons of people out there earning full time incomes just selling things on Poshmark. And then there are plenty of us who just use it to declutter our closets. Selling things in our closet was one of the first things we did when we got serious about paying off our student loans. So, whether you are looking to declutter, make a full time income, side hustle, or anything in between, selling on Poshmark is a good way to go.
